Texas Terrorist receives Gov. Abbott’s pardon

Today, Greg Abbott pardoned a terrorist who murdered a man because he liked his politics – effectively shredding the rule of law. This comes as no surprise to Americans who have been watching the right-wing clown show decide what’s legal and what isn’t by the clever use of their “feelings.” They have so many feelings about so many things it’s quite difficult to keep up with them, but they depend on their feelings about politics to decide innocence or guilt.

The NYT has a new article, No Matter Race, Age or Gender, More Voters Say Trump’s Policies Helped Than Biden’s. I don’t doubt what was found in the poll. Though it did surprise me. If anything, this shows the information gap between people – but that’s just my mind trying to make sense of what I’m reading.

We are now seeing police enter classrooms and search for banned books. The senior managing attorney for the Massachusetts ACLU, Ruth A. Bourquin is quoted, “Police going into schools and searching for books is the sort of thing you hear about in communist China and Russia,” she said. “What are we doing?”

That’s actually worse than cutting a dead guy’s foreskin off. I like to talk about supporting our allies and have for a long time supported Israel – and kinda still do. Holy shit if they would just not make it so fucking hard to back them. I feel like we’re one step away from the scene in Saw 2 where that dude throws that lady into the pool filled with AIDS needles. Honestly, at this point if they just went with actual ideas from popular horror movies it might come across a bit more humanitarian than what we’re seeing.
